It’s that time of the year again! And the streets are announcing it loud and clear with glimmering lights and sparkling decorations on every single house. A lot of people venture out to hunt down the best and most extraordinary Christmas decorations around the capital. The Top Christmas Lights around Canberra:

31 Elia Ware Crescent, Bonner

This humongous display has used almost 20,000 LED pixels to light up the show. And the amazing lights are even synchronized to music! Go watch the lights flicker and dance to a 9-minute long mix of various Christmas carols and some surprise numbers too. It features Star Wars, Paw Patrol, and the Muppets! What’s more, the display also includes a foam/snow machine and a bubble machine for the kids to enjoy, plus an interactive video screen and smoke maker. But that’s not all…wait for it, you can tune into 93.2 FM and watch the lights dance to the music! How cool is that?! They are raising funds for the Legacy Australia Charity so you can give generously to support the cause.

 

4 Stacy Street, Gowrie

Next in line is the impressive 15000 Christmas light display at 4 Stacy Street. The ambience is set by music, balloons, flags and lollies and they’re also holding a raffle with exciting prizes this year; so get your tickets asap. Donation can be offered to the Multiple Sclerosis Australia Charity that they support. Do your bit and help minimise the impact of MS as the search for a cure is still ongoing.

 

22 Fingleton Crescent, Gordon

Lasers, peppy music, smoke machines and a huge 7’x7’ cube – now that’s a must-see light display! You can even tune into 87.9 FM for a musical extravaganza as over 10000 lights that are synced to the music put on a show. Their claim is, the music this year is the best in the last 5 years, and they are mighty excited about it. Help them support the cause they are raising funds for, the Prada Willi Research Australia.

 

17 Delma View, Gungahlin

This Christmas, Wonderland Lights Display is one you simply cannot miss. The owners say that the display is very special and meaningful and will surely ignite the spirit of Christmas in all who visit. Displayed in the memory of their daughter, who passed away from pediatric brain cancer, the lights are a legacy to the ‘selfless and, inspirational’ 15-year-old. Help them raise funds for their charity, Dainere’s Rainbow Brain Tumour Research Fund. Visit between 14th and 24th December for special Santa visits, fun activities, photos, inflatables, lucky dips and much more.
